Hello! My name is Hailey Shoemaker. I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl playing school with my sister. I received my Early Childhood Education degree from Hudson Valley Community College. I went on to study Childhood Education at Russell Sage, earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a second major in English. In 2014, I graduated with a Master’s degree from Sage Graduate School in Literacy. I am certified by New York State to teach Grades 1-6. I have worked in a public school (Pre-K through 8th grade) substitute teaching regularly, for the last six years, while I stayed home with my two children. Now that they are both in school full time I decided it was the right time to jump into teaching full time. I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten at St. Judes!
