On Thursday, June 13, 2019, St. Jude the Apostle School held their “Pass It On” Ceremony. In this long-standing tradition, some of the 2019 graduates passed down to current fifth grade students symbolic items of sixth grade responsibility. For example, the first item that was passed was the Bible, as a symbol of religion, faith, and moral strength. The bible is a source for answers, has taught us to love one another, and has been a guide through all our years at St. Jude. Other items that were passed include a book representing the gift of knowledge, the flag representing patriotism and a love for our country, a playground ball representing good sportsmanship, and a class picture representing family and teamwork. After the ceremony, the fifth graders presented each of the sixth graders a special keepsake representing the faith lessons they have learned.
