It is only appropriate that we introduce Miss Hill to you during this very busy week of musical performances!
Miss Rachel Hill is currently a music instructor within the Diocese of Albany at St. Jude the Apostle School, as well as a string instructor with ESYO CHIME. Although teaching music is one of her greatest passions, she also believes it is important to stay active as a performer. Rachel enjoys performing with various chamber groups, pit orchestras, as well as Western Pennsylvania area Symphonies as both a violinist and violist. Growing up in Saratoga Springs, Rachel was fortunate enough to go through a successful music program, where she became exposed to many performance opportunities. Inspired by her music instructors, it was in High School that Rachel decided she wanted to pursue music as a career. During her time at Hartwick College, Rachel studied music and music education with a duel focus in violin and voice. After college, Rachel spent some time living in Pittsburgh, where she fast tracked her career as both a performer and educator. Rachel has performed with various symphonies such as the Catskill Symphony Orchestra, Altoona Symphony Orchestra, Washington Symphony Orchestra, and Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra. Welcome to the SJS community Miss Hill!
