How Do Super Volcanoes, Oil Spills, Phytoplankton and Sunspots Impact the Earth?

The 6th graders were proud to present scientific research findings to their classmates this week.  They have spent the past few weeks collaborating in small groups to investigate how an event can cause interactions within our earth.  How do super volcanoes, the BP oil spill, phytoplankton, and sunspots interact with the atmosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere and the geosphere?  After listening to the multi-media presentations, songs and poems, playing games, and watching skits…the 6th graders now consider themselves experts!
