From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I was eleven years old, my mother had me help a first grade catechist, who had been teaching faith formation classes for over thirty years. Once the catechist saw that I enjoyed teaching the children, she started to have me lead the lessons. I loved it, and I knew then that I was “born” to teach.
My education/degrees include: an AAS in Early Childhood Education from Hudson Valley Community College, a BA in Childhood Education Grades 1-6 from the College of St. Rose, a MA in Religious Studies from St. Joseph’s Seminary and College in Yonkers, NY, and I am currently in the midst of obtaining my school building leadership certification from the College of St. Rose. I also have catechetical certification in the Archdiocese of New York and the Diocese of Albany.
I have 20 years of teaching experience. I began my teaching career in pre-kindergarten, then I taught in the elementary school grades, and I’ve also taught in the middle and high school grade levels.
I am a Sister of the Resurrection, and I currently live with 16 other Sisters. To learn more about my religious community, please visit our website:
